With the Bonneville Salt Flat season approaching, we figure there’s no better time to start working on your land speed attempt. We’ve always had a bit of an affinity towards going fast, which is the sole focus of Bonneville. Believe it or not, this car set a record in 2001 at 175.041mph. The owner claims the price tag is very reasonable, bidding on EBay is currently up to $1,136 with Reserve Not Met. …Read More »

We’ve been away for a few days and haven’t been able to post. However, our excuse is that we were at Supercar Experience (SCE) Palm Beach, enjoying ourselves with some fantastic automobiles. This event is put on by John Temerian and Jan Otto and attracts people and cars from around the country. It is a must-see weekend if you like exotics and supercars. …Read More »

We’ve featured a few E30 M3’s on the site before, mostly low mile garage queens. This E30 is much different in that it’s fully stripped, caged and ready to hit the track. It’s currently on EBay bid up to $16,100 with 5 bids. The seller has a reserve of $25,000 (which he claims is less than the cost of the motor) and is open to offers. …Read More »

This ‘66 Griffith is the type of car we love finding. Owned by the same fellow since 1967, it was raced at places like Watkins Glen as well as driven on the street. Cars like this one have a history, the tell a story and that’s a great part of car collecting and ownership. This Griffith is currently on EBay with Reserve Not Met at $52,100 and 38 bids. …Read More »

Race Cars, TVR

This TVR Grantura may be 1 of 4 Ex-Works or Ex-Factory Lightweight TVR race cars from the early 60’s. Grantura’s were the first TVR cars, the Series II was upgraded with a choice of 4 cylinder engines and standard disc brakes. If this history can be proven, which seems potentially possible, we think this TVR could be worth more than the roughly $56,000 asking price, plus shipping from the UK and refurbishment. …Read More »

One of the fastest open top cars this side of a Bugatti Veyron Grandsport has to be this Canepa Design race bred 962powered 1989 911 Speedster. With almost 600hp coming from the air cooled twin turbo, Bruce Canepa claims to have taken it to 202mph, where it felt “pretty comfortable.” A lot of time and energy was spent developing this 911, as the entire car has been upgraded. All for a price of $229,000. …Read More »

Porsche, Race Cars

Porsche 911’s in just about any varietal, have been good on the track. They’re without a doubt the winning-est model ever made, which is why if you’re looking to get a track car, you should look at a 911. This particular version was built from a 1999 GT3 Cup car, which is nice, because it’s come from the factory as a race car. For the most part, t’s got all the GT3R add-ons. This is a car that cost over $100,000 new and we’re sure the owner has put at least 50% more into making it as it appears here, he’s asking $60,000. …Read More »

Benetton, Race Cars

This Benetton F1 car has garnered a lot of press lately. We had to feature it here, not because you won’t see it elsewhere (you will) but because of our admiration for Michael Schumacher, his 7 Formula One World Championships, and our appreciation for the 1994 F1 season. This is the car Schummi won the 1994 Championship in, it was his first world title and helped propel him to worldwide super-stardom. Given the history, we can see why it’s bid up to $4,000,000 on EBay. …Read More »

September 30, 2009: This Maserati is also back up on EBay after being taken down mid way through its previous auction. Starting bid is $879,000 and so far there are no bidders. We’ve updated links and pricing.
August 28, 2009: In search of something that will make you the envy of everyone at your local track day? This should do: the Maserati MC12 Corsa, a racing version of a street car (MC12) derived from a FIA Championship winning racecar (MC12 GT1). Confusing, but all you really need to know is 750hp and around 2500lbs, based on an Enzo but with a lot more downforce. Compared to an Enzo, which is a massive car, this is 2.6 inches wider, 2.2 inches taller, has a 5.9-inch longer wheelbase, and is 17.4 inches longer overall. …Read More »
