BMW, Road Cars

Here’s a solid and cool daily driver, in proper old school fashion. The BMW M6 was the creme de la creme of two door sport coupes in the late 80’s. They’ve aged quite well, almost anyone will tell you it’s still a fine looking automobile. This one is in Southern California where they’re asking $24,990. …Read More »

Road Cars, Triumph

This Triumph TR-6 is a bit of an odd mixture, it’s a British chassis fitted with a Japanese Spec R33 turbo motor/trans. So, you’ve got British open-top styling which we like, coupled with Japanese reliability (in theory)… could be a pretty cool driver. This Triumph is on EBay at $15,000 with 17 bids and Reserve Not Met. …Read More »

Mazda, Road Cars

The Mazda RX7 was Motor Trend’s sports car of the year in 1993 with almost 300 hp, neutral balance, light weight Japanese technology. This is a prime example, as a one owner Arizona car with only 17K miles. Often with low mileage examples sellers ask over-market prices but this one is pretty reasonable at $22,900. …Read More »

Road Cars, TVR

This ‘66 Griffith is the type of car we love finding. Owned by the same fellow since 1967, it was raced at places like Watkins Glen as well as driven on the street. Cars like this one have a history, the tell a story and that’s a great part of car collecting and ownership. This Griffith is currently on EBay with Reserve Not Met at $52,100 and 38 bids. …Read More »

Hot Rod, Road Cars

This old school hot rod is a 1938 Diamond T truck cab on a 1947 Ford frame. We like this sort of thing as it’s really at the root of hot rodding. This auction ends soon so we won’t bore you with too many details. With 12 hours left, bidding is currently up to $8,600 with 23 bids. …Read More »

Kudzu, Race Cars

February 7, 2010: This Kudzu has been relisted here on EBay starting at $155,000 with no reserve. We thought it was priced on the high side previously and the seller must have agreed. Still love the original paint from when it ran professionally.
January 6, 2010: Obviously we’re big sports car fans and like many others, we enjoying seeing just about anything from the IMSA GTP days. This 1990 Kudzu-Buick IMSA GTP Lights contendor has been advertised on and off for some time and we’ve always found it interesting. It recently popped back up and EBay so we’re wondering if the seller is willing to accept less than his (already reduced) asking price of $189,995. Bidding starts at $75,000 with Reserve Not Met. …Read More »

Dodge, Road Cars

We know what you’re thinking, two Dodge’s in two days?!? We’re on our way to Barret Jackson so we’re in the muscle car mood. Besides that, this R/T is pretty unique as it looks to be a really clean unrestored ’survivor.’ The seller claims he’s got all the original paperwork from 1971, plus service receipts documenting the mileage throughout its life. He also claims the paint has never been touched. The paint on this car still looks almost new, which is unique for anything that’s almost 40 years old. Check out the picture of the trunk, showing the still-shiny inner fenders. Impressive, we think. Asking price is $59,000 but he’s open to offers. …Read More »

Porsche, Race Cars, Road Cars

Finding a car you can drive to work and run on the track is pretty tough although we believe you can do it with this ‘85 Porsche 911. You won’t be able to take the whole family to the movies in it, nor will you run circles around every car on the race course, but living with and enjoying a dual purpose vehicle is entirely possible. This Carrera will be great for someone who can’t have a dedicated track car, for whatever reason, and doesn’t want to spend a ton of money up front. It’s bid up to $17,600 with reserve not met on EBay — we’re sure the parts and recent labor cost in that neighborhood. …Read More »

Race Cars, Williams

We’ve noticed another historic Formula 1 car recently popped up for sale. This former Keke Rosberg/Jacques Laffite Williams FW08C just came for sale yesterday, with the seller asking $425,000. Quite a lot of money, but do not forget, Keke Rosberg was the F1 World Champion in 1982, the year before he piloted this car. Additionally, while the FW08C chassis wasn’t dominate in ‘83, it did give Williams a noteworthy win on the streets of Monaco; this car ran as high as second in that race before retiring. …Read More »

Maserati, Race Cars
September 30, 2009: This Maserati is also back up on EBay after being taken down mid way through its previous auction. Starting bid is $879,000 and so far there are no bidders. We’ve updated links and pricing.
August 28, 2009: In search of something that will make you the envy of everyone at your local track day? This should do: the Maserati MC12 Corsa, a racing version of a street car (MC12) derived from a FIA Championship winning racecar (MC12 GT1). Confusing, but all you really need to know is 750hp and around 2500lbs, based on an Enzo but with a lot more downforce. Compared to an Enzo, which is a massive car, this is 2.6 inches wider, 2.2 inches taller, has a 5.9-inch longer wheelbase, and is 17.4 inches longer overall. …Read More »
