This ‘88 M3 could be great fun as a unique daily driver, for a reasonable price. It’s got a bunch of recent work done on it and has some really nice features. The miles are on the higher side, at 157k but these cars routinely go for 200K plus, so this one should have a lot of life left in it. December 2, 2009: Big price drop from $14,995 to $11,000 on this track car. We assumed the seller would be negotiable before but this is more than we assumed he’d be willing to lower it. November 3, 2009: Here’s another way to get to the track and keep it within budget. This E36 Touring car sedan has some upgraded parts to make it perform at the track but it also keeps a relatively stock engine and transmission for easy access to parts and service. This is a car you could take to the track unassisted and run by yourself, there’s something to be said for that ease. This 325 is priced reasonably at $11,000, we’re sure much more has been put into it over the years especially considering things like new paint, brakes and other things to get it looking race-ready again. …Read More »

This BMW M3 is pretty straight forward. It’s an all-stock 1995 model year with very low mileage, just 44k, which equates to just over 3k miles a year. October 13, 2009: Here’s an unusual one for you BMW guys. The seller claims this is one of two cars professionally built by BMW Motorsport N.A. for the 1987-1988 IMSA International Sedan Series. Assuming that’s the case, this isn’t just any 325is but a factory-backed production based race car. This car is painted the right colors, white with tricolor “M” stripes and the sponsorship by Warsteiner makes sense, as they were big sponsors of BMW around this time, especially of the E30 M3’s running the DTM class in Europe. That said, it’s very easy to paint a car up in this fashion, so we’d like to see some more paperwork.
