This is one of the cheapest “whole” and running 911SC’s we’ve seen. Coupes are more desirable than targa’s and typically bring more money, which is good if you’re looking to buy one. We’ll spare you a ton of details, the bottom line is that the owner wants this car gone before the holidays, he’s asking $9,000 but we’re sure he’ll go lower. Could be a great opportunity for someone who can meet him in person with cash. …Read More »

Nothing too over the top for you today, just an affordable, gas-sipping sports car. If you’re looking for an unusual yet reliable open-top classic on a budget, a 914 is a great bet. They are fun to drive, lightweight by nature and will hold their value if cared for properly. This particular car is very clean, has all the tools and manuals and looks impeccably maintained. We can’t think of any better way to spend $9,914. …Read More »

BMW, Road Cars

This BMW M3 is pretty straight forward. It’s an all-stock 1995 model year with very low mileage, just 44k, which equates to just over 3k miles a year. We’ve featured it here on TSOL because low-mileage M3’s are hard to find, especially at a reasonable price. The seller is asking $13,000 for this car but we think it can be had for less. …Read More »

Finding a car you can drive to work and run on the track is pretty tough although we believe you can do it with this ‘85 Porsche 911. You won’t be able to take the whole family to the movies in it, nor will you run circles around every car on the race course, but living with and enjoying a dual purpose vehicle is entirely possible. This Carrera will be great for someone who can’t have a dedicated track car, for whatever reason, and doesn’t want to spend a ton of money up front. It’s bid up to $17,600 with reserve not met on EBay — we’re sure the parts and recent labor cost in that neighborhood. …Read More »

Looking to start a team in the Grand-Am Rolex series for a “reasonable” rate? These two Team Sahlen C6 Corvette’s could be a good way to do it, the team performed consistently well last year in Rolex GT, a super competitive series. This two-car team has been for sale for some time but just yesterday they dropped the price substantially and announced that both cars are freshly painted white. Pricing for the team is down to $150K from $200K, or $85K for a single car, down from $115K. …Read More »

Factory Five, Road Cars

With only 6 Shelby Daytona Coupes ever built and prices approaching 8 digits it’s not likely we’ll be seeing one in our near future. But, for a similar driving experience, the guys at Factory Five Racing have developed the “Type 65.” If you don’t know FFR, they’re the ones who revolutionized the kit-car market a few years back by offering ready-to-go kits that allow hobbyists to get parts from a “donor” car and build their dream car. This Daytona isn’t one of the donor builds, rather a brand new build in 2004 and now on sale for a reasonable $29,000. …Read More »

We’re not sure but we think the term “Arrest-Me Red” came about specifically for this car. Nothing screams speed like a Cobra: real, fake, continuation, or otherwise. The AutoKraft Cobra, to many is the first real “continuation” Cobra, originally filling a space that has now been over taken by the Shelby CSX4000, 6000, 7000 and 800 series Cobras. When they were originally built, starting in the early 80’s, the AC AutoKraft Cobra was built at the AC factory using the same molds and jigs as the original cars. This car is aluminum, like the originals and AutoKraft Cobra’s are recognized in the Shelby American Registry. …Read More »

De Tomaso, Road Cars

Here’s another low-miler for those of you who want something that’s been well preserved. The seller claims this car has covered just over 9,000 miles since 1970, not even 250 miles per year! The De Tomaso Mangusta is an Italian car, produced by Ghia in Modena, Italy (where Ferrari’s are made) and fitted with a Ford V8 engine. This was a car for someone looking for Italian styling with a powerful yet reliable American engine, the same holds true today. …Read More »
