If you’re looking for a versatile open-top 12 cylinder Ferrari, the 575 Superamerica is really your best option. While not as nice looking as the 550 Barchetta or as technologically advanced as the new California its a solid option. This car in particular, with just 2,700 miles (and a sticker price of $315,000) is priced below market, we believe, at $179,888. …Read More »

Barn-find Ferrari’s are the stuff that carguy dreams are made of. We decided not to post this one the other day but now we’ve changed our minds. Said Ferrari has made its way around the internet the past few days but we know some of our readers haven’t seen it and will find it interesting. So, here it is, a 1965 Ferrari 330GT 2+2 Series II, stored for 27 years, still with the original California Black Plate. You can find this rare example in Ventura, CA bidding is up to $46,522.22 with Reserve Not Met. …Read More »

We normally don’t prefer Silver and rarely on a Ferrari, but this 2002 575M really does it for us. Likely due to the lowered stance and enormous Novitec Rosso wheels and tinted windows which accent the Silver color really well. This 2002 is ending soon on EBay with a Buy-It-Now price of $125,000 so make sure to check it out before the auction ends. …Read More »

Celebrating Ferrari’s win of the 2008 Formula 1 constructor’s world title the Scuderia Spider 16M is a special limited series of just 499 unique cars. If you haven’t heard of it, check out this MotorTrend article which gives a good write up of all the 16M’s stats. Basically, it is a lightened and hardened version of Ferrari’s 430 Spider, with over 500hp and Ferrari’s trick Superfast2 6 speed which can make shifts in 60 milliseconds (supposedly F1 cars do them in about 50 milliseconds!). …Read More »

Chalk one more up on the “Want It” board. This is the Ex-Alain Prost F1 car that acted as back-up for the 1991 season. While ‘91 wasn’t a stellar season for Prost (the late, great Ayrton Senna dominated that year), he did receive 5 podium finishes. The seller claims this particular car was run at Monaco that season where the record books show Prost set fastest lap of the race and finished 5th. Not too shabby… …Read More »

The car that attracted a generation of Ferrari die-hards aided by its ageless design, record-breaking performance and, of course, as the star of “Magnum PI.” Never before had a car represented a brand or a generation of sports cars as the 308/328 series did for Ferrari and the 1980s. The design is among the most beautiful in Ferrari’s storied history and is still modern-looking today. …Read More »

Update 8/22/09- Well that was fast. This car has been marked “sold” on Fantasy Junction’s website.
Here’s something you don’t see every day: a white vintage Ferrari. While it normally wouldn’t be our first choice of color, we think white compliments the 400 Superamerica really well. The seller claims this car is 1 of 14 with the Aerodinamica body work (styled by Pininfarina) and that this was the Geneva Autoshow car.
When buying a Ferrari, it’s always important to note the history and service records. This example has exceptional ownership history and has just recently been certified by Ferrari under their Classiche program, helping to add to the provenance. While the 400 S/A is not quite as desirable as the 410 S/A, we’d love to have this one in our garage. We’d pull the rear fender skirts off to show the whole rear tire and drive the heck out of it. These vintage Ferrari’s can actually be pretty reliable if driven and maintained properly.
At $1.25M this car isn’t cheap but it’s definitely got its place in history. For more info contact Fantasy Junction in Northern California. …Read More »

If you want to go open top motoring in style, this is one great way to do it. Ferrari only built 448 of the 550 Barchetta, each with a 5.5L v-12 and 6 speed transmission and the reputable seller claims this one is “immaculate.”
We like this particular 550 because it’s the opportunity to get a 8 year old car, virtually new. This car has 2,000 miles from new and is finished in Rosso Barchetta which is the original Ferrari racing red. Importantly, it is a US Spec model (a lot of these cars are less desirable European Spec). One way to tell the difference is by the steering wheels; this car has the steering wheel from a 550 Maranello, the Euro versions have a one from a 360 Modena. …Read More »
