Corvette, Road Cars

Another all-original car has come our way this week in the form of this 1962 Corvette. We love cars that have been well kept, this one is no different. The seller claims it’s got all original paint, interior, moldings, chrome, glass and drive train. If you look closely at some of the pictures from his ad you can see original looking markings on the undercarriage. Asking price is $69,500, which is serious money for a non-fuel injected 62 Corvette. But the level of originality is very valuable to some prospective buyers. …Read More »

Corvette, Kellison, Race Cars

Jim Kellison was an Air Force pilot during the Korean War who later studied aircraft engineering at UCLA. In 1954, he founded Kellison Engineering and begain professionally engineering sports cars with fiberglass bodies, at a price point sometimes twice that of a Corvette! For more info on Kellison, his company and his cars, check out this great aritcle in
Kit Car Magazine. This particular Kellison “Special” (the seller claims 1 of 5) is fitted with a fuel-injected Corvette 327 so you’ll be able to hold your own against those big Ferrari V-12’s when you’re placed next to them on the grid. Because this particular car is eligible for some many vintage events, $175,000 seems like a reasonable point of entry, especially when you factor in that you get to run with the multi-million dollar Ferrari’s, Jags, Cobra’s and the like. …Read More »

We know what you’re thinking: this ‘60 Corvette looks like one of those souped-up Matchbox cars you’ve seen in stores. Not quite; it’s been around way before those toy cars, this is just how cars were done in the Sixties. While this Corvette is not what we’re normally looking for, we had to post it because it’s got a certain aura of cool. To start, it was a drag car from its early days and it hasn’t been moved since 1971! …Read More »

Corvette, Road Cars

Update 9/2/2009: This car is back up on EBay with the same asking price of $49,900. Probably a bit on the high side, but still looks like a great, unique driver.
8/27/2009: We’ve got something a little different for you today. This is a 1957 Corvette that’s been completely redone from top to bottom in a resto-mod fashion. The seller claims the paint is show quality and mechanically it’s ready to drive. We’ve always like the single headlights on these early cars and are pleasantly surprised how nice the car looks in Millennium Yellow with the “coves” painted body color. We know it’s not original, but whoever buys this car won’t care, it’s a driver. …Read More »
