Brun Motorsport’s Last 962 Chassis: 1990 Brun Porsche 962-008BM

1990 Brun Porsche 962 962C-008BM

Racing driver Walter Brun formed Brun Motorsport in 1983; they went on to campaign numerous Porsche 956’s and 962’s with a large amount of success, including a World Sportscar Championship in 1986. In the later days of Brun Motorsport the company constructed 8 chassis and built their own 962’s, this car is the last one built, serial number 962-008. Prices of anything Porsche 962 are really on a climb these days, the seller is asking $350,000 but told us $330,000 would move it. …Read More »

Bonneville Land Speed Record Car: 1952 Buick Straight-8 Lakester

1952 Buick Lakester LF

With the Bonneville Salt Flat season approaching, we figure there’s no better time to start working on your land speed attempt. We’ve always had a bit of an affinity towards going fast, which is the sole focus of Bonneville. Believe it or not, this car set a record in 2001 at 175.041mph. The owner claims the price tag is very reasonable, bidding on EBay is currently up to $1,136 with Reserve Not Met. …Read More »

La Carrera Panamericana Rally Car: 1952 Packard Mayfair

1952 Packard Mayfair Rally LF

Never contemplated buying a Packard, huh? Neither did we, until we realized this 1952 Packard Mayfair could be a great way to run La Carrera Panamericana on the cheap. It’s been run there before, in 1999 and with a bit of work, it looks like it would be ready to head back. Currently on EBay at $7,600, the seller tells us he’s ready to sell it to the highest bidder. …Read More »

Cherry Early Bimmer: 1972 BMW 2002tii

1972 BMW 2002TII RF

Yes, it’s ‘bimmer’ and not ‘beemer’ or ‘beamer.’ We don’t know why, all we know is that this 2002tii is really sweet looking. Plus, this is really the car that change the perception of BMW’s after WWII; it really formed a foundation for the car company we know today. A lot of history and a fantastic color combo for $29,500. …Read More »

Road Race Converted: 1988 BMW E30 M3 Race Car SCCA or NASA

1988 BMW M3 Racecar LF

We’ve featured a few E30 M3’s on the site before, mostly low mile garage queens. This E30 is much different in that it’s fully stripped, caged and ready to hit the track. It’s currently on EBay bid up to $16,100 with 5 bids. The seller has a reserve of $25,000 (which he claims is less than the cost of the motor) and is open to offers. …Read More »

Same Owner since 1967: 1966 Griffith Series 400

1966 TVR Griffith series 400 RF

This ‘66 Griffith is the type of car we love finding. Owned by the same fellow since 1967, it was raced at places like Watkins Glen as well as driven on the street. Cars like this one have a history, the tell a story and that’s a great part of car collecting and ownership. This Griffith is currently on EBay with Reserve Not Met at $52,100 and 38 bids. …Read More »

Little Bit of Germany: 1974 BMW 2002 Turbo with 58K Miles

1974 BMW 2002 turbo RHS

Here’s a chance to own a very cool early BMW Turbo car. BMW only made about 1600 2002 Turbo’s and the seller claims this one is very original, with 58K miles. He is asking $55,000 which seems like a lot in this market. However, this looks to be one of the nicest 2002 Turbo’s we’ve seen for sale, so if you’re in the market you may have to pay up. Even halfway decent cars seem to fetch in the mid to upper $30,000 range with ease, so we could see this really nice example being worth towards $50,000. …Read More »

La Carrera Panamericana Vintage Racecar: 1957 Fiat 600 Abarth

1957 Fiat 600 Abarth LF

Here’s a chance to own a unique 4 cylinder racer, with some cool history, for probably less than the cost of an engine rebuild on most V8’s. This Fiat Abarth ran the 2007 La Carrera Panamericana in Mexico, starting dead last but finishing in the top 50. Could be a hoot, currently on EBay with Reserve-Not-Met at $7,600. …Read More »

Brian Redman Track Event: Targa Sixty Six (66) Palm Beach @ PBIR

Targa 66 Palm Beach

On our way back from sunny Palm Beach where we spent a few days at Brian and James Redman’s Targa Sixty Six (66) and wanted to write a small review. In short, if you’re looking for track days that aren’t too competitive but give you a LOT of track time, in a relaxed but safe environment, this is a great event. Pricing is $1,500 for three days of driving which seems expensive until you notice you can bring multiple cars with up to two drivers. So, pricing comes out to $250 per person, per day, which is very reasonable. …Read More »

Sebring 12Hr Winner: 1989 Kudzu DG2.02 IMSA GTP Light

1990 Buick Kudzu 12 Hr Sebring F

February 7, 2010: This Kudzu has been relisted here on EBay starting at $155,000 with no reserve. We thought it was priced on the high side previously and the seller must have agreed. Still love the original paint from when it ran professionally.

January 6, 2010: Obviously we’re big sports car fans and like many others, we enjoying seeing just about anything from the IMSA GTP days. This 1990 Kudzu-Buick IMSA GTP Lights contendor has been advertised on and off for some time and we’ve always found it interesting. It recently popped back up and EBay so we’re wondering if the seller is willing to accept less than his (already reduced) asking price of $189,995. Bidding starts at $75,000 with Reserve Not Met. …Read More »
