Interesting Alfa: 1966 Alfa Romeo Sprint GT Coupe
This Alfa has a cool bit of history. Originally purchased in Rome, Italy the seller claims the original owner immediately modified it to mimic a GTV and turned it into a competition car, lightening it by 200lbs. We’re told work was done in Rome where the car was fitted with plexi windows and a roll cage and this Alfa resided in Germany for the next 15 years, attending races throughout Europe. Currently on EBay in Florida at $20,000 with Reserve Not Met.
Condition/History: We’re told this one was raced from new in Europe and was never driven on the street. We’d love love love something to back those claims up with. Seller says it was then sold to the U.S. where it raced in California and in 1982, Pikes Peak hillclimb (!)
What’s to like: Cool history, seems well maintained, great to look at and should be even better to drive. We’d love to participate in some vintage racing with this one
What’s to not like: Will need a bit of freshening to make it really nice
Investment Outlook: If proven, the interesting history on this Alfa could make it worth a bit more than a standard car
Where to find it: In Sarasota, Florida

Noted but that’s not too difficult an upgrade. Given the car has been in the U.S. almost 30 years and has been owned by a Ferrari mechanic as of late we’d assume changes like that occur. However, we always say buyers must do appropriate due diligence! Thanks
