The Renault R5 started life to homologate a race version for Group 4 rally racing. This one has the Stage 1 power kit with 185hp; the race cars made as much as 345hp. This one can be had for $29,500.

Condition/History: This one is the last year of production and looking very solid with 37k miles. Fully legal car with California CARB sticker

What’s to like: Love the interior with upgraded Sparco seats and on-board fire system, Cibie rally lights give it a nice touch as well

What’s not to like: For true collector status, this one would have lower miles, that said it’d be a fantastic driver for the price

Investment Outlook: The price looks pretty reasonable as is, if any Renault is likely to appreciate, it’s the R5 Turbo
