This Ultima GTR was purchased as a brand new kit in 2001 and the owner has been building it, slowly ever since. These cars are absolutely brutal in terms of performance, for the money they will outperform just about anything. A new kit starts at $50,000 sans drive-train, this one with a 347ci Ford can be had for $60,000.

Condition/History: Owner claims this is basically still “new” and hasn’t even been registered for street use yet. Needs a few odds and ends finished and sorted but nothing major.

What’s to like: Somewhere around 2200lbs. 430hp Ford small block mated to a Porsche G50 trans means this one will perform but still be drive-able.

What’s to not like: We don’t love the Subaru-ish blue. Needs some work to be finished but all that really means to us is that you could get a killer deal

Investment Outlook: Not an investment car. However, see above. If you’re thinking about building one of these anyway, you may be able to get an excellent deal on this one and save a bunch of time and $$$$
