We’ve noticed this hotrod turned La Carrera Panamericana racer recently available. A lot of La Carrera cars are pretty cool but this one is really unique. Rarely do you see open top/open fender set ups in the race, it’s pretty cool to see something different and we’re sure the folks in Mexico would love it. You’d be an instant hit; this one is on Ebay with bidding starting at $90,000.

Condition/History: Built by Hollywood Hotrods, planned to be ready for the 2008 La Carrera Panamericana but wasn’t completed in time. Featured in Hot Rod magazine May 2010, ran the Optima Ultima Street Car Challenge in 2009

What’s to like: 50/50 weight distribution and 2400lbs. Ford 286 and Scott blower with two Rochester carburetors (old school cool) and the T5 5 speed makes it usable. Moal suspension, custom removable roof/rollbar set up.

What’s to not like: For something near six-figures, the frame should at least be painted/powdercoated!

Investment Outlook: Obviously lots have been spent on this one but you’re never likely to make it back

Where to find it: In South Pasadena, CA
