We saw a few original BRE cars at the Monterey Motorsports Reunion this past weekend and think a tribute 240 could be pretty fun. This one seems to be well done, it’s registered with BRE in their historic tribute program, currently bid up to $10,500 with Reserve Not met on EBay.

Condition/History: Appears to be a well thought out and detailed build. Painted in 2009 using authentic Datsun paint/decals. Completely refinished interior

What’s to like: Supposedly a 240 motor bored .30 over built by Rebello, triple Mikuni carbs, 5 speed and new clutch and brakes

What’s not to like: The good and bad seem to be that this is not a racer. It’s a cool looking Datsun 240z that was well built, but best to keep to the back country roads with this one. Otherwise, the buyer seems very straight forward in his ad, mentioning a couple paint imperfections and other quirks

Investment Outlook: Dependant on purchase price, though this car will never likely be worth much more than you pay. Good opportunity to own something unique that should hold value pretty well as long as it’s kept up
