International Race of Champions Race Car: 1974 Chevrolet Camaro IROC
The IROC Series went out of business a few years back but when it was started, well-known racers from all forms of Motorsport would come to compete against each other. The series started with Porsche’s and quickly moved to Camaro’s; this #6 was raced by David Pearson and tested by Cale Yarborough and Roger Penske himself. Neat piece of history really, currently on EBay with bidding only in the thousands of dollars, of course Reserve Not Met.
Condition/History: Mostly original save for engine and transmission. Can use some updating but overall a very nice representation of how the IROC series started. For us it’s important that this car stays very true to how it was, it’s much more valuable in that form than updated to current specs
What’s to like: Lots of history (log books, pictures, drivers logs), more unique than a stock car, set up for road courses.
What’s to not like: Will need a bit of work to get it race-ready. Also, wish it had the original motor/trans
Investment Outlook: Given we don’t know the asking price, we can’t comment for sure. That said, we think it’s got a lot of potential especially as vintage stock cars rise in price as this is more unique and only a few were built
Where to find it: Right here in Rochester, NY

Hey Steve, great news and congrats! Don’t have any more info on your car but send us an email at mail@twoseatsorless.com, we will try to put you in touch with another IROC owner who might have something.
