We love hot rods built to “period” specs. Don’t get us wrong, the Boydsters and Chip Foose designs are great, but when we see one built how the average car lover built his dream car through the 30′s, 40′s and 50′s, that’s the one we’d like to have. This particular 1928 Ford roadster has a 1938 Ford track nose with hand formed metal sides, a 1928 Ford cowl and a Dodge touring car tub finished with a 1925 Ford Model T rear, and a hand formed roll pan and with Bonneville louvers. This is the way hot rodding started in the U.S., with guys taking their favorite parts from a bunch of different cars and forming their own unique creation. Condition/History: Fresh build from both old and new parts resulting in what looks like a great job. Full leather interior looks fantastic and the fit and finish of the rest of the car looks great; attention to detail was obviously important on this build

What’s to like: Chevrolet V8 running through an “old school” quick-change rear. Love the looks of the red artillery vehicle wheels and the chopped frame-less windshield

What’s to not: Priced a bit high for a unique design that won’t appeal to everyone

Investment Outlook: Probably not a lot of potential appreciation but if purchased right it should always hold its value
