Under $3,000: 1989 Alfa Romeo Quadrifolio spider with 76k miles
First of all let us apologize for the picture, it’s the only one we found. However, don’t let that deter you, this 1989 Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio spider looks to be a really good deal, especially if purchased by the right person. Alfa only made around 2000 of the Quadrifoglio’s, basically an upgraded Spider with coachwork done by Pininfarina. The owner says this one runs great, he’s asking $2,999 in Portsmouth, NH.
We think this Alfa could be a fantastic deal because we’ve seen the hardtop’s themselves sell for between $1,500 – $2,000. The owner claims it’s all original and has 76k miles. While Alfa’s aren’t the most reliable cars ever, if you’re a shade-tree mechanic or someone with some intelligence and patience, you could easily work on most things yourself. Negotiate the price a bit, budget a few thousand dollars for repairs, paint and touch-up and you could have yourself a very nice Italian convertible for less than $5,000.
Find this Alfa on Craigslist in Portsmouth, NH. Also, you can find the original post on AlfaBB located here.

Old European cars are so cheap in USA. Much more than here in EU. We envy you.
