1929 Ford Street Rod No Windshield RR

Practicality, who needs it? That’s what the SUV or the family sedan is for; this hot rod is for cruising. Out on the open road, opening up the pipes and blaaaaating down the highway will make just about anyone smile. Plus, doing it in true old-school hot rod style is an added bonus. For $35,000 we’d love to have this one in our garage.

We love a bunch of the different design elements of this highboy. The holes drilled in the boxed-frame allow for a great nostalgic look, as do the trunk louvers, short hoop rollbar and all the pin-striping. The wide [white-wall] drag slicks, shorty dump exhaust and lack of windshield each add to the impracticality, which we think is fantastic. Honestly, half the fun of owning something like this is having to wear these sweet goggles from Stand21 every time you drive it.

Overall, for $35,000 we think this car is a great deal. It was built from the ground up by Retro Rods by Rich (was Rich Oakley’s car, known as Holy Heck). For more info, see this street rod here in Farmington, NM.
