Serious Budget Racer: 1972 Mini Cooper RHD

We’ve been overwhelmingly busy the last few days, our apologies. We’re back on track with what we think is a great deal for the right buyer, in this 1972 right hand drive Mini. It’s set up as a racer and the seller claims it placed 2nd place in the 2002 Mini Seven Series in New Zealand. It’s now back in the States and can be had for $7,950.
The seller also claims it would cost $30,000 to build a car of this quality. We don’t want to doubt him and although $30,000 is a lot of money, it’s easily seen a ground-up build of this car far exceeds the asking price. Specifically, the car has a 1000cc engine, bored .40 over. The power is run through a straight-cut close ratio 4 speed. Suspension consists of adjustable Spax shocks and dry cones, braking is done with Cooper S units. It’s got added features proving it’s set up for racing, including a full rollcage. This Mini also comes with some spares, including another set of wheels, which is great considering the price.
