Reasonable Italian Super Car: 1969 Maserati Ghibli

If you’re like us, you’ve sought after a Ferrari Daytona at one point or another. The Maserati Ghibli is about as close as you can get to a Daytona, for about 30% the price of the Ferrari. This 79K mile Ghibli is very original with all matching numbers and the seller claims to have over $25,000 in recent receipts for mechanic and electrical updates and fine tuning. With an asking price of $63,900, we think this is a lot of car for the money.
We like this Ghibli because it’s reasonably priced and all the recent work means it should be reliable, so it can really be driven. While it’s not quite as unique or good looking as the V12 Ferrari competitor, it’s designed by Giorgetto Giugiarowho penned cars for everyone from Bugatti and De Lorean to Ferrari and Ducati. Beyond that, it’s V8 makes similar power (330hp) to the Ferrari’s V12. Additionally, we think these cars will continue to appreciate in value, along with the Ferrari’s, making it an even better proposition.
