Steal It: 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback

We know, yes… a lot of Mustang’s lately. What can we say, we love them. This car is pretty straight forward, Red/Black with some Shelby bits, the reason we posted it here is the price, $15,000. It wasn’t long ago that bare Mustang fastback shells were selling for that money and if this car is as nice as it looks in pictures, it may be a great deal.
Seller claims it’s got a strong 289, fiberglass hood, rear seat delete, roll bar, competition belts, Shelby style dash and wood steering wheel. Additionally, to make this car a great driver, it’s got headers and dual Flowmasters, a Tremec 5 speed, 9″ Detroit locker and 4 wheel discs.
This car looks like it’d be a great driver. Only thing we’d do is lower the front end a bit, take the small hub caps off the wheels (a-la Shelby R Model) and spray over the black stripe, leaving it all red. For more info you can find the car at the NorCal Shelby Club’s site. If you can’t locate the car there, it’s likely sold.
