(Not-so) Mellow Yellow: 1957 Chevrolet Corvette

Update 9/2/2009: This car is back up on EBay with the same asking price of $49,900. Probably a bit on the high side, but still looks like a great, unique driver.
8/27/2009: We’ve got something a little different for you today. This is a 1957 Corvette that’s been completely redone from top to bottom in a resto-mod fashion. The seller claims the paint is show quality and mechanically it’s ready to drive. We’ve always like the single headlights on these early cars and are pleasantly surprised how nice the car looks in Millennium Yellow with the “coves” painted body color. We know it’s not original, but whoever buys this car won’t care, it’s a driver.
This corvette would be perfect for someone who wants a relatively simple-to-work-on, stylish, unique car they could drive, show or go to cruise nights with and treasure. With a 283 V8, 4 speed manual and the modern updates done to the suspension and cooling system, our bet is you could drive this car almost anywhere. The only thing we’d do is change the wheels to some American Racing wheels like these or these as they may suit the car better.
You can find this car ending soon on EBay here. It’s not cheap, but it should be reliable and really fun, plus you will not “see yourself” coming around the corner in this baby. Buy it, drive, enjoy.
