Lively Lotus: 2-Eleven GT4 Supersport

Looking to get into professional racing? Or just dream of running local track days in an open cockpit racer, banging off shifts with your fully sequential dog box, pretending you’re Tom Kristensen in an Audi R10 at Le Mans? Either way, it sounds like this Lotus 2-Eleven GT4 is what you need. This car is a more racey version of the already race-able Lotus 2-Eleven and is basically ready for whatever you throw at it.
In this video, 5th Gear tests a regular Lotus 2-Eleven, the car this GT4 is based on. The 2-Eleven GT4 has an extra 15hp, lighter weight, a better aero package and a 6 speed sequential transmission! The addition of stiffer suspension and a FIA spec roll-cage means this car is ready for track duty right out of the box. Rumor has it that during development, Lotus engineers drove one of these 600 miles to France, entered a race (and won), then drove it home.
Here’s a quick link to a Car and Driver article about the 2-Eleven GT4. Pricing on these cars is steep, at around $120K. You do get something for your money though; the sequential trans is almost $20K itself and generally speaking the car is quite rare. For more info on this 2-Eleven, call Lotus of Austin in Austin, TX.

We thought the 20K we were quoted was pretty reasonable, $33K sounds a bit more appropriate. Thanks Patrick!
