Le Mans Lineage: 2005 Ford GT

Unless you’ve been on another planet for the past decade, you already know the facts about this car. Styled after the Le Mans winning GT40’s of the sixties, 2005-2006 Ford GT’s have 500hp/500ft lbs supercharged V8 and 6 speeds of mind numbing acceleration. None have traction control, no stability management and in fact there are no real electronic aids what-so-ever. Some things we know: many were crashed with only delivery miles, more have been wrecked since, Ford offered 4 options, most GT’s had stripes.
While Ford made more than a few GT’s, we like this car because it is a bit unique. It seems to be a stripe-delete car, so it has no hood or side stripes. Most cars had both stripes, if not then they usually had one or the other. The lack of stripes gives this particular car a clean look that we love. Additionally, the owner claims this is a one owner car with a clean title and no stories, plus it’s gone less than 4K miles.
If this Ford GT is as clean and story-free as the seller claims, it’s a very good buy at $139K. Most similar cars seem to be trading for more money, and they are more cookie-cutter, striped variants.
