La Carrera Panamericana Vintage Racecar: 1957 Fiat 600 Abarth

1957 Fiat 600 Abarth LF

Here’s a chance to own a unique 4 cylinder racer, with some cool history, for probably less than the cost of an engine rebuild on most V8’s. This Fiat Abarth ran the 2007 La Carrera Panamericana in Mexico, starting dead last but finishing in the top 50. Could be a hoot, currently on EBay with Reserve-Not-Met at $7,600. …Read More »

Brian Redman Track Event: Targa Sixty Six (66) Palm Beach @ PBIR

Targa 66 Palm Beach

On our way back from sunny Palm Beach where we spent a few days at Brian and James Redman’s Targa Sixty Six (66) and wanted to write a small review. In short, if you’re looking for track days that aren’t too competitive but give you a LOT of track time, in a relaxed but safe environment, this is a great event. Pricing is $1,500 for three days of driving which seems expensive until you notice you can bring multiple cars with up to two drivers. So, pricing comes out to $250 per person, per day, which is very reasonable. …Read More »

Sebring 12Hr Winner: 1989 Kudzu DG2.02 IMSA GTP Light

1990 Buick Kudzu 12 Hr Sebring F

February 7, 2010: This Kudzu has been relisted here on EBay starting at $155,000 with no reserve. We thought it was priced on the high side previously and the seller must have agreed. Still love the original paint from when it ran professionally.

January 6, 2010: Obviously we’re big sports car fans and like many others, we enjoying seeing just about anything from the IMSA GTP days. This 1990 Kudzu-Buick IMSA GTP Lights contendor has been advertised on and off for some time and we’ve always found it interesting. It recently popped back up and EBay so we’re wondering if the seller is willing to accept less than his (already reduced) asking price of $189,995. Bidding starts at $75,000 with Reserve Not Met. …Read More »

Old School Daily Driver: 1985 BMW 635CSI with 79K miles

1985 BMW 635CSI

A little more mild than our normal taste is this 1985 BMW 635CSI. It’s a Euro conversion, done by Hardy and Beck in San Francisco; seeing as it’s still a CA car it probably has another 30-40hp to be gained by taking off the CA SMOG parts and converting back to Euro-spec. This car was a $55,000 in 1985! Older BMW’s, when kept-up hold value well, this seller is asking $16,900. …Read More »

Visualize it: top down, sun is just coming up, you’re winding your way through the hills of upstate New York on a crisp summer morning. Or bundled up, cruising the mountains of Vermont in the fall. Maybe blasting along I-5 up in California into Oregon. Well, that’s what we visualize when we see this car. It’s a car that you compromise to because it’s so damn cool. Rally Inspired: Lancia Delta Integrale Evoluzione

LANCIA INTEGRALE EVOLUZIONE LF

If you like the World Rally Championship, Subaru WRX’s or Audi AWD you should be all over this Lancia Delta Integrale Evo. These are road going versions of the pro rally cars from the 80’s; they’re lightweight and well over 200hp. The race cars were very successful in the rally world while the street cars were perhaps never as popular as some thought. However, as they were rally inspired, this is truly an influential piece of history for $22,900. …Read More »

Possible Ex-Works Racer: 1961 TVR Grantura Mk2

1961 TVR Mk2 Ex Works RF Track

This TVR Grantura may be 1 of 4 Ex-Works or Ex-Factory Lightweight TVR race cars from the early 60’s. Grantura’s were the first TVR cars, the Series II was upgraded with a choice of 4 cylinder engines and standard disc brakes. If this history can be proven, which seems potentially possible, we think this TVR could be worth more than the roughly $56,000 asking price, plus shipping from the UK and refurbishment. …Read More »

Open Cockpit V-12, Priced Right: 2005 Ferrari Superamerica

2005 Ferrari Superamerica

If you’re looking for a versatile open-top 12 cylinder Ferrari, the 575 Superamerica is really your best option. While not as nice looking as the 550 Barchetta or as technologically advanced as the new California its a solid option. This car in particular, with just 2,700 miles (and a sticker price of $315,000) is priced below market, we believe, at $179,888. …Read More »
